"Many times they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me" (Ps 129:2).
". . . My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)
I rely on this passage as much today as I did when my life was a
9-1-1 call. It's comforting to know I wasn't created to know all the answers to life's questions. A truth that compells me to bow each day before the One who does. Bow. Simply bow and acknowledge that in spite of my flaws, God's grace is sufficient. His strength is made perfect in my weakness. (Just imagine the massive doses of grace and strength available to us when we feel the least effective in life.)
No matter the circumstances we face or the demands they bring (whether joyful or painful), we can trust in God's promise.
Prayer: Jesus, I confess that I am weak. I don't have all the answers, and I let go of the ones I think I do have. I invite Your strength into my weakness, and a heart that's prone to wander. I thank You in advance for the good plans You have for me. Amen.
